I joined Sony in San Diego to lead design of their new US mobile phone business in a joint venture with Qualcomm to supply Sprint & Verizon with new CDMA handsets and accessories. I enjoyed driving the architecture and all the detailed part design, breaking new ground with In-Mold-Decoration technology for our lens component. It was great to work with Sony’s design and engineering teams and learn from working with their Japanese supply chain.
