At D2M I had Qualcomm Mirasol display group as a client for years helping showcase and productize their new ultra-low power MEMS color display technology. This first embodiment of their newest panels was rapidly developed and showcased at CES 2010 in high-fidelity metal and rubberized e-reader concept prototype.
We also developed a thicker full-function UX touch-screen demo for MWC in 2010 to show a full working mock-up of an e-reader with their new reflective color displays and (optically lossless) IR touch panel integration. We combined the new panels with Linux on X86 developing all the drivers and Flash-based UX to demo the display+touch super low-power e-reader solution.
CES 2011 we had all metal unibody designs for their latest panels to showcase and demo their latest color performance capabilities.
For MWC 2011 we developed a smart-phone form factor to demo their latest Mirasol panels for smart phone applications.
Kyobo the leading e-reader platform in Korea became the lead Qualcomm Mirasol product to market in 2011. We provided turn-key product development from white-label design concepts, through detailed development partnering with Qualcomm QCT group in San Diego and then NPI through Taiwan CM and launch in Korea.
